HostKit is MIT licensed. There is no paid tier, no premium features, no enterprise edition.

What you need to run HostKit

  • A VPS (Ubuntu 22.04+)

    Any provider: Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Linode, AWS EC2, etc.

  • SSH access

    Root or sudo access to configure the server

  • Python 3.10+

    Required for the HostKit CLI

  • An MCP-compatible AI agent

    Claude Code, Cursor, or any agent supporting Model Context Protocol
